Nashville, TN (November 23, 2010) ----- Centricity Music’s Jason Gray has rapidly earned the reputation as one of the hardest working artists in the Christian music industry. He has just completed his opening act gig with World Vision’s Make A Difference Tour 2010, which featured Max Lucado, Michael W. Smith, TobyMac and Third Day. Gray also served as a “behind the scenes” reporter for the tour and the video aired exclusively on Hearitfirst.com.
Next up for Gray will be a radio promo tour on the east coast in support of his new single, “I Am New.” The song is generating strong support from radio with new adds from KLOVE, WPOZ/Orlando, FL, WBFJ/Winston-Salem, NC and Family Life Network. The single is currently #20 at AC Indicator, New & Active (#33) on the AC Monitored Chart and #20 on the Inspo chart. The video world premiered on HearitFirst.com and has just been added at Gospel Music Channel. “I Am New” is the follow up to Gray’s hit single, “More Like Falling In Love,” that peaked at #4. Both songs are from Gray’s current album, Everything Sad Is Coming Untrue.
On November 30 and December 1, Gray will begin rehearsals for Andrew Peterson’s Behold The Lamb Of God Christmas tour. The 15-city holiday tour launches December 2 in Durham, NC and includes a show at the historic Ryman Auditorium on the 16th. About Jason Gray
Gray began building a loyal fanbase as an independent artist and his talent garnered the attention of CCM artist, Sara Groves, and Gray credits Groves with giving him an important start in his career. After playing guitar and being the opening act on several of Groves tour dates, it eventually led to opening for additional acts, such as BarlowGirl and Shaun Groves. Gray eventually recorded two independent projects before signing with Centricity Music and releasing his first national CD in 2007, All The Lovely Losers. The project received rave reviews and was heralded as one of the top albums of that year. Gray’s sophomore and current project, Everything Sad Is Coming Untrue has firmly established him has a solid artist in the Christian music genre. The album brought Gray his highest-charting single, “More Like Falling In Love,” critical acclaim and major tours with Sanctus Real, Francesca Basttistelli, Tenth Avenue North, Jeremy Camp and the Afters.
